Big News! I have moved to a new company

After 20 years with JAMA - LA I decided to move on and join a firm in Texas.
AG&E. They do amazing work. I will lead their Advanced Design Technology initiatives remotely.

I will still be involved in helping the AEC community as always, including presenting at conferences,
and publishing etc.

Thank you for all the support over the years and here is to another 20 more!

GET CENTER POINT OF MANY POINTS USING DYNAMO OR GRASSHOPPER

If you ever wanted to get the center point from many points using Dynamo or Grasshopper then see image below....and yes there are many ways to do this one task including using custom nodes.

If you like this format there are 100's of more examples similar to this one in my new book

ORIENT REVIT STRUCTURAL FRAMING PERP TO CURVE SURFACE

Have you ever wanted to orient structural framing perpendicular to a curve roof in Revit? You could change the "cross sectional rotation parameter" on each beam or you could use Grasshopper inside Revit that uses the new Rhino.Inside.Revit Technology. See image below and good luck.

If this example looks familiar... it is! I showed how to do this method using Adaptive Components in the past see this previous post. https://therevitcomplex.blogspot.com/2017/11/orient-beams-perp-to-surface-using.html and my lastest book "Dynamo and Grasshopper Cheat Sheet Reference Manual shows how to do this in Grasshopper. ALSO.....What about Beams that are segmented and on a planar curve in 3D space? No Problem see the image below to solve that problem as well.

The page numbers are where these concepts are located in the book. Want to learn more? Check out the book here. https://www.aeccheatsheets.com/dynamo-and-grasshopper-reference-ma
